As a therapist, I approach people with compassion, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to help them discover insight about the past, comfort in the present, and renewed hope for the future. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment for you to holistically explore your strengths, struggles, relationships, and faith.
I earned my MA in Counseling from the Graduate School of Counseling at Biblical Theological Seminary (now Missio Seminary) and have completed post-graduate training in child development and early life trauma through the Dr. Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University.
I have experience with many common counseling concerns, and have special interest in trauma recovery, anxiety, relational struggles, spiritual abuse, and the intersection of professional counseling and Christian ministry.
In addition to my work with adults, I am a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner. TBRI is an evidence-based caregiving model and a meaningful way to connect to the heart of any child who struggles with emotional, relational, or behavioral dysregulation.
Prior to my professional clinical training, I completed a comprehensive course of study in biblical counseling through the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF), and I enjoy helping people explore their past and current struggles in light of their Christian faith.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the District of Columbia.
